Vote For Ta’Sha Barber

My Bio

I grew up watching those closest to me serve in the pulpit, the classroom, and in uniform. That shaped my belief that public service isn't a title, but a responsibility to show up for others. I started my career as a correctional officer, seeing firsthand how failed systems impact communities. That experience drove me into housing and community development, where I've spent over two decades working directly with families. As a real estate broker and fair housing advocate, I've stood in the Georgia State Capitol, county commission chambers, and on neighbors' doorsteps fighting for their homes. I've partnered with chambers of commerce, REALTOR associations, and leaders to fight for fair housing and stop private equity from buying up our neighborhoods. Now, I'm running for Douglas County Commissioner, District 4, because leadership means doing the homework and never forgetting who you work for.

My Key Issues

Protect Property Values

Keeping District 4 a place where homeowners' investments are respected and protected from reckless development.

Infrastructure Before Expansion

Roads, water, and public services should be ready before new growth is approved, not scrambling to catch up after.

Transparent Government

Residents deserve to know how decisions are made and where their tax dollars go, plain and simple.

Environmental Accountability

Growth shouldn't come at the cost of clean water, healthy land, and a livable county for the next generation.

Data Center Impact Review

Large data center projects need real, independent review of their impact on power, water, and neighborhoods.

Support Local Opportunity

Backing local small businesses, contractors, and entrepreneurs so growth benefits people who already call District 4 home.
